The private sector is the part of a country’s economic system that run by individuals and companies or groups, rather than the government.
Private sectors are those organizations which are controlled free fom government, but all control should be authorized by national regulation.
Development refers to postive change in life aspects from low stage to high life stage. Development means movement in life to both national wise and individual wise.
 Most of African countries are underdeveloped including Tanzania, the underdevelopment of Africa was caused by a series of causes, and many of them were of the coming of outsiders from external wold, inoder to solve the problem of underdevelopment private sector come as one amang the solution, and it seems to be solution throgh doing the following;
 Private sector provides employment opportunities to the people.Inorder to push development people needs emloyment so as to meet all basic needs and contribute to national development through paying tax and others, government had a burderns of providing work to the citizens but is very difficult hence the number of people especially in Tanzania is greater than job chanse available in public sectors, therefore in order to reduce unemployment private sector employ people who run those sector. In Tanzania there are many private sector such as private schools in field of education, hospitals for example Aghkan and several industries such IPP industries, these sector provides employment to Tanzanian people so as to solve underdevelopment to both citizens and national level.
 Increases government revenue.Private sector even if is under private control had responsibility to the nation, they had responsibility under the nation regulation. Those sector are required to pay tax, in Tanzania they are in control of Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) the tax depends to what kind of activities the sector or an organization own, as much profit the sector earn the government increase national income, example of companies which are privetry and contribute to development are such as AZAM, and Bonitte bottle for bevarage and other many companies.
It increases foreign exchange.In Tanzania the policy allow private sector of both national and international, the external provides foreign money which increase foreign stock in the country so as to control devaluation of our currency. Because of private sector trade interaction become more therefore the exchange of money increses.
Private sectors led to trade development, it is true that many private sectors aim to receive profit from what they do, and trade include all types of exchange of goods by media of exchange which can be money as now days or goods by goods as it was before. Private sector aim to earn profit therefore what they do by any means can be refered as trade, this trade as they do it help indgneous Tanzanian to copy the method employed by them in trading and the result is economic development of a coutry, an example is from Befoward company limited which originate in Japan but it operate in Tanzania and some other company belongs to Tanzania copy the method which results to success.
It contributes to development of science and technology through transfer of technology, as they produce more also the quality of product increases hence the consumer search for quality, because of that compitition is inevitable and other many company inter in field of production so as to meet the buyers needs, because of competition all company fights for technology so as to simplify production, as they develop is how they solve under development of Tanzania and indgneous copy that technology. Forexample bevarages companies where by now in Tanzania they are so many and their technology also glows up.
It contibutes to the advancement in provision of social services, government is required to provide some services to the citizens some freely and others by coast sharning. It is very difficult for government of Tanzania to provide those servises succesful, therefore private sector helps government to provide those servises to the people, those services are such as inflastructure construction and reconstruction such as roads rail ways, air ways and communication networks also health servises such as hospital, education through schools and collages, communication networks as (Airtel, Vodacom, Tigo, Hallotel ) those services are very important for development of Tanzania hense it stimulate the development of other sectotors.
Generally private sector in Tanzania contribute to the development, it can much contribute if the policy are implimented well as are friendly to government, to themselves and to the society because all these three are the figure to the development,for instance previosly in Tanzania there was a problem on law implementation thats why there were some companies runned privately without paying tax to government and also they were out of environmental control.
